Fall in the Annapolis Valley

Hello friends,

Sorry its been a while since i’ve written, the last few weeks of school have been insane! I am happy to say that my ‘hell weeks’ are almost over with though, with next week being the last of them … well one can hope. Anyways that is not what I wanted to write about today.

As you may or may not know, depending where you are in the world, fall has arrived in North America. I absolutely love fall time… although I say that whenever a new season begins. Fall has become a trendy time of year with everything from pumpkin spice to warm cozy sweaters to chunky blanket scarfs. And I am not opposed to any of these things.. I love them all. But, one of my favourite things about fall is all the colours of the leaves, so stunning! Growing up in northern Alberta I had falls with basically only yellow colours. The falls there are also really short, so all the leaves change to yellow then fall off and boom you have a few feet of snow on the ground.

Don’t get me wrong, I am a winter girl and I love snow, but I also like longer fall seasons which the Annapolis Valley has! Nova Scotia falls are so beautiful. They get all the colours of fall that you expect like red and orange…..obsessed. This is such a beautiful place to see at anytime of year, but the falls here will blow you away. They also have really cool pumpkin patches everywhere and corn mazes. I love how the valley really transitions into this season and how they have so many decorative and festive layouts all over.

Old train tracks that use to be used to transport goods, but have been out of service for quite sometime as you can tell!

Red vines growing over small shrubs and trees. Looks beautiful as they intertwine with the green and yellow leaves.

View from the balcony of my apartment… love waking up to this every morning.

I highly recommend coming to visit Nova Scotia if you haven’t been here yet. Its a small province, all you need is a few days to tour around and sight see. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

Till next time, xoxo
